Bennie Lenard Robinson, JR has experience playing from T-Ball all the way through college and professional levels.
Bennie Robinson played at Forest High School and then went on to play at the college level. He finished his senior season at FAMU reaching base in 48 consecutive games and became the Rattlers first ever MEAC Player of the Year and made the MEAC All-Tournament Team. Bennie Robinson hit.390, which ranked 15th nationally, while leading the conference in hits (83) and tied for the lead in doubles (15). He also had 26 multi-hit and 14 multi-RBI games as well as a 15-game hitting streak.
Bennie Robinson was selected in the 28th round (840 overall) of the 2014 Major League Baseball First Year Player Draft by the Arizona Diamondbacks, ironically becoming the 28th FAMU player ever to be drafted.
In addition, Bennie Robinson earned a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice and served one year as a juvenile probation officer before launching Robinson Baseball Academy.
While providing private baseball lessons through RBA and volunteer coaching at the Rotary Sportsplex of Marion County, Mr. Robinson has had the opportunity to work with various young athletes from diverse backgrounds and to join the Rotary Board as Vice President. While acting as VP at the Rotary, Mr. Robinson has opened a local indoor baseball training facility and has recognized the need to improve the current participation for the athletes within the Babe Ruth League at the park.
